Today, December 21st at 10:27 pm EDT the sun will be entering the sign of ♑ Capricorn (Winter Solstice).

The coming month-ish, the sun will be casting illumination onto the full spectrum of the Capricorn (Winter Solstice) Archetype.

This will likely trigger a self-awareness of your embodiment of determination, pragmatism, and hard work. And, it will also give you some perspective on how these traits are embodied and expressed in others.

With the sun traversing through the gates of Capricorn (Winter Solstice) - gates 10, 58, 38, 54, 61, 60, 41 - you will have ample opportunity to delve into and reclaim its shadows, even if your astrological chart does not have prominent Capricorn (Winter Solstice) placements.

Regardless of whether you think of these shadow traits as "good" or "bad", disowning them results in your feeling stuck or blocked.

If you find yourself ignoring your inner wisdom and feel stuck in your deconditioning process, a shadow aspect is at play. When we have disintegrated shadows, they become our most potent saboteurs.

I often say that your shadows “leak out sideways.” We cannot run from our shadows (forever). But, we can transform our shadows into our greatest allies and sources of strength.

You can alchemize their energetic essence into the exact energy you need to move forward in a truly aligned way and make the contribution that only you can make.

That is alchemical magick and it frees you from the judgment of others and false societal narratives to prove your worthiness. You become liberated in your authenticity and expand your capacity to make conscious choices about how you show up in the world.

Now is the time. Your capacity to be authentic is more important than ever. As the world becomes more and more volatile, being anchored in your own center is where stability is found.

Generally speaking…

Woo. I’ve said before that the reason I love the Thoth Tarot so much is that it doesn’t fuck around. It can be a total asshole and I love that.

And today’s pull is exactly why.

This card was so potent, I texted it’s keywords to my therapist based on a session we literally just had. Even though they don’t know anything about Tarot.

I won’t get into all that, but, did have to have a little giggle.

I think we can all agree that the dial of intensity in life has been turned up. For many, things feel very, very hard right now.

And, maybe it’s just me as my Chiron Return inches closer and closer, but the healing work to be done is feeling a bit “now or never”-ish.

The Chariot seems to be bringing in the energy to charge ahead. To keep going. To honor the watery nature of transformation while staying grounded in the very earthy reasons why it matters.

The symbolism of path 18 on the Tree of Life, corresponding to the channel of acceptance (62/17), tells me that a key transformation that is taking place is the transformation of the way we use our voice.

The Chariot is ushering in a time that demands we speak the truth, be discerning about who and what we allow to have authority over us, and to not let the mere opinions of others shake us off course.

Something you may not know about the Tree of Life is that it holds the journey for the three main spiritual awakenings that are available on Earth.

Different cultures call these awakenings different things. But, the golden threads are these:

​1. Surrender to a “higher power.”

This happens in sphere 6, Tipareth and corresponds to the G center in Human Design and the “higher power” is the magnetic monopole (aka the soul).

In magick, it is known as knowledge and conversation of the holy guardian angel. in Christianity, it is known as accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. And in the East, it is being initiated by a Guru.

Everything that happens below sphere six on the tree is complete attachment and identification with the mundane world.

The consciousness at this point tends to be one where you are sick and tired of getting jerked around by life, knowing that you can’t do it alone, and that you aren’t alone - it isn’t all on you.

And between there and crossing the abyss is the practice of surrender. It is the letting go of everything that was weighing you down before the surrender. And it is a conscious tuning in of the voice of that higher power.

This is the journey of Human Design. We are surrendering to the voice of the magnetic monopole and learning to let it lead the way by letting go of anything and everything that pulls us off that path.

2. The Awareness of “Unity”

In magick, this is known as crossing the abyss; on the Tree of Life, it happens in Daath, which is an unseen sphere between Geburah and Chesod and the three combined correspond to the throat center in Human Design (and the throat chakra in the east).

There is a deep irony that happens in this awakening.

In the first awakening, surrendering to a higher power, the conscious is of recognizing that you are not alone. But, after crossing the abyss, you become aware that you are everything.

That higher power you surrendered to – it was you the whole time. It was never separate. You come to an embodied knowing that what you think of as you is really just a tiny part of a whole unified consciousness.

And, from that awakening, you must learn to go it “alone.”

Whether conscious of it or not, many people “fall” after this awakening. That, or become more hermit-like. And by hermit, I don’t mean the second line. I mean the more traditional meaning of shutting one’s self off from the world.

But, if you stay the path, and practice allowing yourself to stay purely true to your own inner guide, you reach the third and final possibility as an incarnate human.

3. Enlightenment.

In magick, this is often referred to as Accomplishing The Great Work and/or finding the Philosopher's stone. Christians tend to believe it happens after we die, go to heaven, and are united with God. And cultures from the East consider it the spiritual aim of incarnating over and over again.

But the golden thread is complete unification with that thing that some call God. The veil is completely dropped and zero illusion of separation remains. It is Heaven on Earth and it frees you from the cycle of death and rebirth.

I could go on and on here. But, in short, here is what I find interesting.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the interpretation, it feels like time is speeding up and like Earth is becoming more and more intense.

And something I’ve been pondering, in conjunction with my deeper contemplations on 2027 is that, to me, it feels like the space between Tipareth (6) and Daath are becoming closer together.

I don’t know if that makes a lick of sense. But basically, it is like we are becoming spiritually aware, much, much sooner that the higher power is ourselves.

And I think the work we do with Human Design is a sign of that. Because, in Human Design, there is no outer authority, at all. It is always about the magnetic monopole and trusting yourself above all else.

So, The Chariot feels a bit like an affirmation of that.

We are moving into a time where trusting ourselves is the only way to thrive. We can no longer rely on outside authorities for our decision making. We have to lean into what we know and speak our truth. And embark on the “alone” journey.

To be clear, I use quotes around “alone” because crossing the abyss is simply about the first moment where you experience unity consciousness. And after that, the irony kicks in, in trying to live and breathe that way.

It is a whole new journey of pure inner authority. But the world is still the world. And the world will constantly be asking you to trust outer authority.

Enlightenment is when both things are true. The world is happening AND you are one with it.

Anyway, what I am seeing is that this solstice marks the time where pure inner authority is paramount. That, as the Chariot says, there is violence in maintaining traditional ideas.

Meaning, when we try to honor ideas that are not from our own inner authority, when we try to honor what the world around us says, it is violence against ourselves and the path ahead.

Now is the time. Can you feel it?
